FOX BROOK GENERAL INFORMATION

Park Location
Fox Brook Park is a 223-acre park that offers a variety of recreational and open space opportunities located west of Barker Road (C.T.H.”Y”) in the northwestern section of the City of Brookfield. Formerly the site of a quarry, the park now has a 22-acre quarry lake with a spacious lodge and sandy beach. The 138 acre wetland area is a natural resource which will be preserved and protected as a natural habitat and open space area. This habitat allows many bird species to flourish, such as Gold Finches and Indigo Buntings.

RECREATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES
Trails: Walk or jog the one-mile multi use paved trail that winds around the quarry lake and provides three wildlife-viewing areas to observe the wonders of nature. Great for strollers and wagons. Stop at the three observation decks to soak in the natural beauty and tranquility of this park.
Geocaching: Try your hand at a high tech game of treasure hunting using a GPS to hide and seek containers with other participants. Geocaching is enjoyed by people from all age groups and is a great way to enjoy the outdoors.

Swimming: The 22-acre quarry lake has 400 feet of sand beach with a diving dock and volley ball net. A beach house with soda machines, restrooms, shower facilities and concession stand are open when swimming is available. Please see our Water Quality page for daily beach availability – http://www.waukeshacounty.gov/defaultwc.aspx?id=40458
Pedal Boating: Rent a pedal boat and take a leisurely cruise around the quarry lake. They are on a first come, first serve basis and are $8.00 an hour. One handicapped pedal boat is available for rental.
Scuba Diving: Explore the underwater world while scuba diving the lake. A permit and release form is required.

Fishing: Bring your fishing pole for an ideal family-oriented fishing opportunity. We encourage and support the catch and release of fish, so that many people can enjoy the excitement and thrill of catching fish from the lake. From the land you can catch Northern, Bass, Bluegill, Perch, or Crappies. Please note, a fishing license is required in all Waukesha County Parks.
