The Chairman of the Board is responsible for the management, the development and the effective performance of the Board of Directors, and provides leadership to the Board for all aspects of the Board’s work. The Chairman acts in an advisory capacity to the officers in all matters concerning the interests and management of the Egyptian Society of Wisconsin which includes the following:

  • Plans and organizes all of the activities of the Board of Directors in regards to the preparation for and conduct of Board meetings.
  • Also ensures the timeliness, and quality of the information that goes to the Board members.
  • Forms the Board committess and intergrates their activities.
  • Evaluates the effectiveness of the Board and facilitate implementation of improvements
  • Developes the Board, including Director recruitment, evaluation and compensation
  • Ensures ongoing formal and informal communication with and among Directors, groups, governments, press, financial connections, industry associations etc
  • Works closely with and through the Egyptian Society of Wisconsin members in the development of the Egyptian Society of Wisconsin’s visions, agendas and business plans to facilitate communication and understanding between all members
  • Ensures operations of the Society conform with the Board’s view on corporate policy.
  • Ensures in consultation with the Committee and the full Board of Directors, that succession plans are in place to facilitate the longetivity of the organization
  • Participates and maintains external relationships which fulfill the Egyptian Society of Wisconsin’s obligations as a proactive member of the community
  • Provides the key link between the Board and its members, by significant communication, coaching and team building activities
  • Carries out special assignments in collaboration with the Board of Directors

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Vice President:

  • Co-ordinates with the Chairman of the Board/President on the organization of a Strategic Branding Committee
  • Provides input in regards to various programming aspects for the Egyptian Society of Wisconsin
  • Works with the President on conducting business and maintaining the integrity of the organization
  • Assists the President with putting together the agendas for scheduled meetings
  • Coordinates and presides over Board meeting if the President is not able to participate
  • Chairs Convention Operations Committee
  • Develops a specific list of initiatives for the Governing years that will be presented to the Board for review
  • Assists in fund raising activities
  • Developes and coordinates a Local Organizing Committ for the St. Louis Convention
  • Board liason with FSB-SIDA regarding organization of the Egyptiann Society of Wisconsin
  • Coordinates and other assigned duties that the Officers fo the Board deem appropriate

 

 

 

Treasurer:

  • Serves as the Egyptian Society of Wisconsin’s Cheif Financial Officer
  • Completes and submits the annual financial report to the Board
  • Manages the financial resources and expenses of the organization
  • Keeps records of all expenses and revenues
  • Pays all due amounts and records thereof
  • Audits the financial records and ledgers or makes available said records for external audit
  • Co-ordinate with the Board of Directors the planned budgets
  • Works with organization’s legal firm to to coordinate various reports and projects
  • Maintains checking accounts and all funds related to organization
  • Distributes funds for awards to recipients as approved by the Board

 

 

Secretary General:

  • Prepares the agenda for the Board meetings
  • Responsible for communication to the Board members
  • Runs the Board secretarial functions
  • Follows up on the execution of the Board decisions
  • Ensures execution of the Egyptian Society of Wisconsin’s Bylaws
  • Maintains a register of members and directors
  • Records the minutes of the Board meetings
  • Issues membership cards
  • Record maintenance of the Egyptian of Society activities
  • Transmits quarterly reports to the Corresponding secretaries for distribution
  • Records all warrants and bills and forward to the Treasure for payment
  • Sends Corresponding secretaries and Treasurer lists of all funds recieved
  • Prepares applications for all State registrations for charitable organizations
  • Keeps the President and the Board informed at all times on all matters pertaining to the organization
  • Maintains a file of vital documents of the Egyptian of Society Of Wisconsin activities,  Articles of Incorporation, Bylaws, Minutes, Contributions and listing of Awards, reports
  • Performs other duties at direction of the President

 

 

General Assembly Director

• Work with Directors on various administrative matters to make our operations more streamlined and efficient
• Organization spokesperson when appropriate
• Represent organization at various events/functions over course of year
• Work with ESOW and organizational staff with regard to various aspects of planning
• Coordinate daily organizational management and administration
• Develop new building/enhancing initiatives.
• Coordinate efforts to put together appropriate organizational-based manuals dealing with a variety of duties, time-lines and checklists
• Coordinate, along with Abbas Fadel, a monthly and divisional board initiatives letter that goes to membership
